FCA Structure

The cooperative is owned by the customers we serve.  That defines the organizational structure, and all members share in the profits of the company in direct relation to the amount of business they do.  Any customer can apply for membership by filling out an application and submitting it with a membership fee to the Board of Directors for approval.  The application asks if you are an agricultural producer, which would qualify you for Class A membership.   The Farmers Cooperative Association is controlled by the Class A members in NE Wyoming and SE Montana who, once every year, elect 9 of their fellow Class A members to serve on a Board of Directors. Class B members are non-agriculture producers, and hold all the rights that Class A members do, with the exception of voting.  The cooperative is managed by a General Manager, selected by the Board of Directors, to staff and manage the business in the interest of the member-owners, under the policies and procedures established and approved by the Board of Directors.
